California prison officials are considering whether to allow state inmates to use condoms during conjugal visits as a way to slow the spread of AIDS. Dr. Nadim Khoury, chief medical officer of the state Department of Corrections, supported the reversal of a longtime policy banning condoms, and a department spokesman said a decision is expected within two weeks.
