Tunisia has arrested businessmen accused of giving money to Islamic fundamentalists loyal to Iran, government sources said. The sources would not say how many people were detained. They said investigators are trying to determine if the contributions were “pure charity” or for political purposes. The government has carried out a series of arrests since March 26, when Tunisia announced it was breaking diplomatic relations with Iran. It said the Iranian Embassy was trying to spur unrest, a charged denied by Iran.
