Martinez and David Raskin
Al Martinez did an excellent column on the plight of David Raskin. His lyrics to the song “Laura” are forever embossed in my mind.
Martinez, however, fell short in his article by not naming the judge and police officer in question in this one-sided traffic dispute.
After his two-year battle, Mr. Raskin should pursue his case until such time that the judge and the cop involved are reprimanded by their superiors.
A judge-and-a-cop combination versus the average motorists does not stand a chance in our courts. A motorist with a witness has a decided edge. I hope that these authority figures hang their heads in shame.
