Orion Pictures Corp., Los Angeles, reported a turnaround for both the fourth quarter and the fiscal year. Net income for the quarter was $8.34 million; it was $9.83 million for the year. Those figures contrast with a loss of $22.87 million in the year ago quarter and $31.86 million for the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 1986. The company attributed a 65% increase in annual revenue and the turnaround in profit primarily to the theatrical success during the year of “Platoon,” “Back To School” and “Hannah and Her Sisters.” Orion said the “Cagney & Lacey” and the “New Hollywood Squares” TV shows also “made significant contributions” to revenue and profit.
