Granite Hills Runs to Top of Baseball Poll
SAN DIEGO — Granite Hills, having scored 88 runs during a five-game winning streak that carried it to the AAA Division championship of the Lions tournament last week, is the No. 1-ranked high school baseball team in this week’s Times’ Top 10 poll.
The Eagles (12-3) beat fifth-ranked Mt. Carmel, 14-3, in the Lions championship game last Wednesday.
Orange Glen (12-4) is ranked No. 3 this week after beating No. 6 Fallbrook, 1-0, to win the AA Division of the Lions tournament.
