Morton Is Named Fullerton’s MVP

Junior guard Richard Morton, Cal State Fullerton’s leading scorer and a second-team All-Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. selection, was presented with the most valuable player award by Titan Coach George McQuarn at the men’s basketball awards dinner Friday night at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Junior forward Henry Turner received the “We Play Hard” trophy for his competitiveness and desire. Senior Herman Webster received the captain’s award, and senior Alexander Hamilton the best defender award. Junior forward Derek Jones, a transfer from Long Beach City College, was selected newcomer of the year.
