Boxing judge Jo Jo Guerra said he will sue the manager of former middleweight champion Marvin Hagler, and conceded he might have misjudged two rounds of the championship fight between Hagler and Sugar Ray Leonard.

“The slanderous statements by Pat Petronelli on my scoring not only make me state my position again, but sue him for slander, which I will do in due time,” Guerra said in a press release.

Guerra also conceded that the seventh and ninth rounds were actually won by Hagler, but that would still have given eight rounds to Leonard.
