The city’s Cultural Arts Commission on Sunday will unveil 100 limited-edition prints of Pomona’s official centennial poster. The prints, which feature a rendering of the city’s namesake, the Roman goddess of fruit and bounty, will be displayed from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Kellogg West auditorium at Cal Poly.
Designed by local artist Sandy Rusinko, the prints are on sale for $175 each, with proceeds going to the Cultural Arts Commission and the city’s centennial committee. Pomona, which was incorporated in January, 1888, will kick off its 100th birthday celebration July 4.
