Harbor City : Cleanup Day Set April 25
The city of Los Angeles will hold its annual cleanup day in Harbor City on April 25, according to harbor-area Councilwoman Joan Milke Flores.
The Public Works Department will set up collection sites at three locations between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.: Harbor City Recreation Center, 24901 Frampton Ave.; Narbonne High School, 24300 Western Ave. (the President Avenue parking lot), and Retail Clerks Union Hall, 25949 Belle Porte Ave.
The city will accept rubbish and debris at the collection sites, but it will not take automobile parts or toxic materials, such as oil and paint cans.
Residents with large bulky items, such as sofas or beds, must make an appointment to have those items removed--free of charge--by city Sanitation Department crews. Residents should call 548-7655 at least two days before their regular garbage collection day.
