The screen of an X-rated Whittier theater was slashed in half and more than $82,000 in damage to the movie house’s contents and premises was caused by an arson spree, authorities said. The Pussycat Theatre, 7038 S. Greenleaf Ave., was already closed when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported. The blaze was extinguished in about 10 minutes.
