Local News in Brief : Sylmar Youth Arrested in Death of Father, 33

A15-year-old Sylmar boy was arrested Friday night after shooting his father to death with a rifle in their Sylmar home, Los Angeles police said.
The youth telephoned police at 6:40 p.m. Friday to report the shooting, Lt. Robert Stemples said.
Police found Ronald Lee Hess, 33, dead on a bedroom floor in his home, Stemples said. He had been shot several times in the upper body with a .22-caliber rifle, officers said.
