Leashing Children
At a time when young children are developing their ability to walk and explore their environment, it is upsetting to see parents curtail this behavior by restricting the movements of their youngsters through the use of harnesses or leash-like devices.
Although I understand there is a need for parents to keep an eye on their children nowadays, alternative methods must be found in which to do this. It is dehumanizing for a child to be tied to his/her parent as a dog is to its master.
