USD Men Defeat Pepperdine in Tennis

The University of San Diego men’s tennis team upset sixth-ranked Pepperdine, 5-4, Wednesday at Malibu.
Scott Patridge, USD’s No. 1 singles player, defeated Andrew Sznaidjer, ranked fifth in the country, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Patridge and David Stewart defeated Sznaidjer and Marty Laurendeau, 6-3, 6-4, in No. 1 doubles.
USD’s Jim McNamee and Dan Mattera won singles matches, and Mattera and Chris Smith won in doubles. USD is 22-6, and Pepperdine is 17-5.
