Michele Granger threw her 20th career no-hitter and struck out 20 Thursday to lead the Valencia High School softball team to a 3-0 victory over Troy in a nonleague game played at Fullerton.
Granger, a junior left-hander, walked a batter with two outs in the first inning and then struck out the final 18 to move to within one of the Southern Section career no-hitter record of 21, held by Monica Messmer of South Hills (1980-83). The Tigers (5-2) scored three unearned runs in the first inning.
