A baby girl was killed and two other people were injured when fire swept through a bedroom and attic of a South-Central Los Angeles home. Firefighters found the body of the 7-month-old baby after extinguishing the blaze in the 1200 block of East 53rd Street. A year-old boy was treated for smoke inhalation and a 46-year-old man suffered second- and third-degree burns. The identities of the victims were not immediately made public. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
