Anaheim : Man Dies of Injuries From Weekend Crash

A 21-year-old Anaheim man died at UCI Medical Center Monday after suffering major head injuries in a two-car collision over the weekend, authorities said.
Mark R. Smolinski was airlifted to the hospital in the city of Orange shortly after his Porsche collided with a Mustang driven by Mike P. Kotick, 19, of Anaheim, Police Sgt. Tom Beardman said.
The accident occurred at 10 p.m. Sunday between Lakeview and Riverdale avenues, Beardman said.
Kotick was treated at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Anaheim for minor injuries and released. Beardman said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
