Semtech Reports Sharp Increase in Earnings
Semtech, citing cuts in expenses and increased manufacturing efficiency, said it earned $174,000, or 3 cents a share, in the fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 compared to a $22,000 profit a year earlier.
The Newbury Park semiconductor maker said its sales fell 8% in the period to $3.1 million.
