12 Novice Nuns in Beijing

BEIJING — Twelve young Chinese women became novice Catholic nuns at a church service Sunday, the first such ceremony in Beijing in 30 years, the official New China News Agency reported. The church in China is run by the Catholic Patriotic Assn., which has no links with the Vatican.
