5 Killed in Accidents at New Soviet Gas Plant

MOSCOW — Five people have died in accidents at a new Soviet gas extracting plant, the newspaper Socialist Industry said Friday.
It said four people had died after a sudden release of gas in an underground storeroom at the plant close to Astrakhan near the Caspian Sea. It did not say when the accident occured.
Another man had died in a separate incident, it added, but gave no details.
