Mike Mitchell of the San Antonio Spurs...
Mike Mitchell of the San Antonio Spurs has checked himself into a drug treatment center in Van Nuys.
“Drugs is correct,” Bob Bass, Spur general manager, told the San Antonio Light. “I don’t know if it was cocaine specifically, or not.”
He said that Mitchell, 31, left San Antonio Wednesday. By coming forward voluntarily, Mitchell is not liable to the league’s mandatory lifetime banishment. Once his treatment program is complete, he will be free to rejoin the Spurs.
