Woman Jumps to Freeway: A Santa Ana woman escaped serious injury when she jumped off the Meats Avenue overpass to the northbound lanes of the Costa Mesa Freeway, about 25 feet below, about 1 p.m. Thursday, authorities said. No cars struck the woman, who was reported in good condition at UCI Medical Center in Orange. The fast lane of the northbound freeway was closed for about 25 minutes.
