Brett Snyder Hard-throwing right-hander was 7-3 last season, with Capistrano Valley ERA of 1.60 and 70 strikeouts in 69 innings. One of the Senior, 6-3, 185 team’s top hitters, he batted .373 with 26 RBIs.

Eric Christofferson Became starting catcher during league season Ocean View last year and hit two homers in first game. Hit .340 Senior, 6-1, 182 with 4 home runs. Very solid defensively. Matt Hattabaugh A three-year starter who hit .414 with 13 RBIs Marina last season and was first team All-Sunset League. Very Senior, 6-0, 200 sound defensively and has a strong arm. John Mele Hit .350 with 6 home runs and 28 RBIs last Fullerton season as the Indians’ No. 3 hitter. Not very big Senior, 5-10, 170 for a catcher, but good arm and a quick release. Mike Pawlawski Quarterback of Warriors’ football team, has a Troy scholarship to Cal, where he will play football and Senior, 6-3, 200 baseball. Power hitter and one of top arms in county. Brian Roberts Hit .405 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and a county- Loara leading 11 doubles last season. Also is one of the top Senior, 6-2, 195 defensive catchers in the county.

Jason Friedman A left-handed hitting first baseman, Friedman Cypress led the county in hitting last season with a .582 average. Senior, 6-1, 180 He had 32 hits in 55 at-bats. Mike Fyhrie First team All-Sunset League player last season Ocean View after hitting .370. Has good range at shortstop, good Senior, 6-3, 185 hands and strong arm. Will also do some pitching. Mitch Kaylor Has been a starter since his freshman year. Moves Sonora to shortstop from second this season. Hit .345 with 5 Junior, 5-8, 155 homers and 35 RBIs. Stole 10 bases last season. Matt Lundin Hit .479 with 4 doubles, 4 triples and stole 10 Tustin bases last season. Was the Tillers’ No. 3 hitter. Has Senior, 6-1, 180 good hands and a decent arm at shortstop. Craig Paquette The third baseman hit .405 with 2 homers and 28 RBIs, Rancho Alamitos striking out only twice last season. Versatile athlete Senior, 6-0, 175 who was one of the county’s top basketball players. Dan Price Very powerful left-handed hitting first baseman Western who had 5 home runs and drove in 30 runs last season. Senior, 6-0, 195 Hit cleanup last year, will again this season. Tom Redington The county’s most proficient offensive player, Esperanza but also a top shortstop, with only 7 errors in 29 games. Senior, 6-1, 190 Hit .442 with 10 homers, 42 RBIs, 9 doubles, 36 runs. Jeff Repoz The son of former Angel Roger Repoz, hit .385 as Katella outfielder last season, but will move to infield. His Senior, 6-3, 185 brother Craig plays in New York Met organization. Tommy Adams Hit .393 and was second in county with 19 stolen Capistrano Valley bases last season. A rangy outfielder who will miss Junior, 6-1, 190 first few weeks of the season because of arm surgery. John Hefler A three-year starter in center field who has hit Santa Ana better than .400 for two years and has 76 hits in two Senior, 6-1, 180 seasons. Hit .430 with 4 homers last season. Danny Ontiveros A third team All-Southern Section player last season Saddleback as a shortstop, will move to outfield this season. Hit .418 Senior, 5-11, 170 with 30 RBIs and had 12 stolen bases. Mike Robertson Hit .355 with 1 homer and 13 RBIs and scored 14 Servite runs as a sophomore. The switch-hitter will bat third in Junior, 6-0, 170 the order and may see some action at first base.
