Reagan’s Speech on Iran-Contra Issue
Will Ronald Reagan change his behavior pattern? The clues in his speech say “not much.”
He is angry and disappointed at the failures of others, but he shows no sign of being angry, ashamed, guilty, contrite, or whatever, at his own so-widely-criticized disengagement. Indeed, he defends his “management style” except to note that it “didn’t match (his) previous track record” (whatever that might mean!).
