Long Beach St. Women Defeat SDSU, 108-74
Cindy Brown had 21 points and 12 rebounds and Penny Toler added 20 points Friday to lead No. 4-ranked Cal State Long Beach to a 108-74 victory over San Diego State in a semifinal game of the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. women’s basketball tournament in the Forum.
Long Beach (29-2), which led, 59-32, at halftime, will meet Nevada Las Vegas in the tournament final today at 11 a.m. San Diego State, which had upset second-seeded Hawaii in the first round, finished 13-16.
Brooke Meadows led the Aztecs with 18 points and 14 rebounds while Lisa Stevens added 16.
