Delaware River Area Shut by Felled Tower Reopens

DELAWARE CITY, Del. — Ships began moving through a section of the Delaware River on Wednesday, three days after it was closed because a tanker ran into a high-voltage transmission tower. A Cypriot vessel struck the 400-foot tower Sunday about five miles south of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, snapping power lines and sending the tower into the river.
