KCET PHONES, POWER BACK IN ACTION

Telephone and power lines have been repaired and are back in operation at KCET Channel 28, following an accidental electrical fire that broke out at the station Friday night.
The station was off the air for about 20 minutes Friday evening and the telephone system was down over the weekend as a result of the fire that broke out in a utility building. The building houses the main telephone lines, electrical equipment and supplies. A backup generator was used to get the station back on the air.
Station officials are still evaluating the amount of damage.
