General Motors and ARA Form Cleaning Venture
DETROIT — General Motors Corp. and ARA Services of Philadelphia are forming an industrial cleaning venture that could provide as many as 1,000 jobs in the Detroit area, the companies announced.
The company, GMARA Industrial Cleaning, will sell training, consulting and management cleaning services for manufacturing plants and heavy equipment, GM spokesman Mark Cocroft said. The new venture will be located in the Warren, Mich.-based Industrial Cleaning Technology Center that GM already operates.
“We bring our expertise regarding the manufacturing floor,” Cocroft said.
