Torrance : Park Del Amo Homes OKd

The City Council approved construction of 236 townhouses that will be the last residential phase of the Park Del Amo project north of Sepulveda Boulevard near Maple Avenue. Construction is expected to begin in 90 days.
When complete, the entire project will have 1,256 homes, 226 less than the 1,482 originally authorized by the city.
Lawrence L. Schmidt, president of Watt Homes Inc., developer of the project, said the company asked for fewer homes to ensure speedy approval.
