Schools, County to Mark King Day

Students and teachers at all public universities and colleges in Orange County, and in all school districts except Irvine Unified, will have the day off Monday in observance of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. Irvine Unified will observe the holiday on Friday.
All county offices and courts also will be closed for the holiday and all city offices, except those in Huntington Beach and Irvine, will also be closed.
Banks and post offices also will close, and there will be no mail delivery Monday.
