Train Runs in East Resumed

Limited Amtrak passenger service from Baltimore to Philadelphia and points north resumed today, with high-speed trains slowing to 30 m.p.h. along two tracks through the site of Sunday’s train wreck, officials said.
The collision between Amtrak’s Colonial passenger train and three Conrail locomotives tore up about 1,000 feet of track in both directions just south of the approach to the Gunpowder River bridge, Amtrak spokesman John Jacobsen said.
