Professor, Son Rescued After Night on Mountain

SANDPOINT, Ida. — A university professor and his son, who spent a chilly night on a mountain after becoming lost on a ski outing, were rescued by searchers who spotted them from a helicopter. Paul Dierker, 48, a University of Idaho mathematics professor, and his son Tom, 23, were reported in good health Thursday after being rescued a day earlier.
