AMMAN, Jordan — King Hussein of Jordan and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt met Sunday for the second time in five weeks in what diplomats said was an attempt to form a common stand for next month’s Islamic conference in Kuwait.
Both leaders are expected to attend the Jan. 26 summit of the 46-member Organization of the Islamic Conference. The Iraq-Iran War, fighting in Lebanon and the Mideast peace issue are likely to be major topics of discussion.
