College Given Grant: Golden West College has received an educational grant of $125,000 from an Orange County computer company. Jack North, a drafting technology instructor, said the grant from Micro Control Systems will help the community college develop software for computer-assisted drafting machines. The grant, he said, will also allow the college to participate in a consortium of training centers to share and exchange new concepts of computer-assisted drafting.
