Raines Pro and Con; Ostler Pro and Con

The Dodgers do not need Tim Raines, even if Scott Ostler thinks it would be a wonderful Christmas present to the L.A. fans. The Dodgers already field one of the winningest teams in baseball.

Let Raines go to a team that hasn’t won its division in 8 or 10 years and is struggling at the gate. If the Dodgers, Angels and Yankees would stay out of it, one of the less fortunate teams might have a chance.
