Former UCLA and Philadelphia Eagle Coach Dick Vermeil said he is “truly tempted” by the Atlanta Falcon coaching job and hopes to give team owners an answer by the week’s end.

“In the past four years (since resigning in Philadelphia) I’ve turned down all kinds of chances to coach again,” Vermeil said. “This is the first one that has really made me think . . . the first one that’s truly tempted me.”
