E. German Dies of AIDS

EAST BERLIN — East Germany has reported its first death from AIDS to the World Health Organization, medical sources said today. The victim, a male hemophiliac in his 20s, died at the beginning of the month after an extended illness, they said. The sources said about 12 East Germans have been found to be carrying the acquired immune deficiency syndrome virus in their blood.
