‘Courageous Action’ of Anaya

What wonderful news for the holidays! That Gov. Anaya commuted the sentences of those under the death penalty is cause for rejoicing. Finally, someone has chosen life over death, sanity over revenge, and principle over emotion. His action in the face of criticism and popular revulsion is an example of modern heroism. With his value for life and for personal moral integrity, Anaya has given us a great gift.
