Murdock is buying control of a Hong Kong paper.

Dow Jones & Co. announced that it is selling the company’s 18.9% stake in South China Morning Post Ltd. of Hong Kong to Rupert Murdoch’s News Publishers Ltd. for $57.2 million. Terms are subject to approval under Hong Kong laws, according to a spokesman for Dow Jones. News Publishers is an indirectly wholly owned subsidiary of News Corp. Ltd., the publishing firm owned by Murdoch. News Publishers recently acquired 34.9% of the company, a spokesman said. South China Morning Post Ltd. publishes the South China Morning Post, a 75,000-circulation Hong Kong-based English-language daily newspaper, as well as magazines.
