Edelman said his Plaza Securities Co. partnership sued the Dublin, Calif.-based supermarket chain, seeking to block the company’s reincorporation proposed in connection with a restructuring and share buyback plan. Lucky, which has attempted to fight off an unwanted $1.9-billion merger proposal from Edelman by instituting the restructuring, called the lawsuit “without merit” and said it would fight Edelman’s suit “vigorously.”
