Tight end Clarence Kay of the Denver Broncos was suspended for four weeks for drug use. The drug was not specified, but it was stated that Kay will undergo treatment in a drug center.
Earlier, the third-year player had been suspended for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs Nov. 16 by Coach Dan Reeves for chronic tardiness to team meetings and practice.
For last week’s rematch against the Chiefs, Kay was demoted from his starting job and was in for only one play.
