USD’s Basketball Team Plays Boise State Tonight

SAN DIEGO — The University of San Diego basketball team passed its first road test of the season Friday, defeating Utah, 60-57, at Salt Lake City. Now, the Toreros come home.
USD (1-0) plays Boise State in the USD Sports Center tonight at 7:30.
Boise State, coached by former Cal State Fullerton Coach Bobby Dye, is 2-0 with victories over Idaho (99-83) and Idaho State (70-45).
At Utah, USD got a career-high 31 points and 10 rebounds from 7-foot center Scott Thompson. He was named the West Coast Athletic Conference player of the week.
USD plays at Nevada-Reno Saturday night and at Montana State Monday night. USD does not play at home until Dec. 23 against Rice.
