Two men were given prison terms for making a swastika out of beer bottles and damaging a historic monument during a drunken spree, a newspaper reported Friday.

Jiri Vyskocil, 20, was sentenced to two years and his accomplice, 23-year-old Jan Kubik, was given a one-year term, said the Communist Party newspaper Rude Pravo.

The newspaper said the defendants encircled the swastika, a symbol of Nazi Germany, with flowers taken from the foot of a monument to Jan Hus, a 15th-Century religious reformer.
