Supreme Court Selection
Cruz Reynoso should understand something basic. Independence of the judiciary does not mean total insulation with the right to impose one’s own personal and political philosophy on the people in direct defiance of the law.
That is what happened, and the voters, who are far more intelligent and perceptive than Reynoso thinks they are, recognized it and acted accordingly. That was in the American tradition of checks and balances and the concept that no one can place himself above the law.
