Irish Stories Holds On for Hollypark Victory

Irish Stories, ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye, opened a long lead early and had enough left to hold off Harper’s Ridge by a nose in the $21,000 feature race Wednesday at Hollywood Park.

Notoriety, ridden by Rafael Meza, was third, 4 1/2 lengths behind Harper’s Ridge, ridden by Laffit Pincay.

Irish Stories was clocked in 1:11 1/5 for six furlongs and paid $7.40, $3.20 and $2.40; Harper’s Ridge, the 6-5 favorite, returned $2.80 and $2.40, and Notoriety paid $2.40 to show.
