The University of Virginia has won this year’s College Football Assn. academic achievement award, the association announced in Boulder, Colo.
It is the second straight year the school has been honored as the association member with the highest graduation rate among members of its football team.
Of the players who entered the university in the fall of 1980 and got financial aid, 88.8% graduated within five years, the association said.
