Victim Identified
The driver who died when his car collided with a San Diego Transit Co. bus on a downtown street Friday afternoon was identified by the county coroner’s office Saturday as Miguel Navarro Fernandez, 32, of Chula Vista.
Fernandez died of massive head and internal injuries at UC San Diego Medical Center about 2 1/2 hours after his car ran a red light at 16th and F streets, according to witnesses, and hit the bus.
