Fountain Valley : Fire in Garage Was Arson, Officials Say
An early morning fire that burned through the garage of a single-family home Saturday morning, causing about $50,000 damage, was intentionally set, fire officials reported.
The fire was confined to the garage at a home in the 17800 block of San Clemente Street, and there were no injuries to the residents of the house, firefighters said.
Damage to the garage and two vehicles was estimated at $59,000.
Fire Capt. Paul Summers said investigators have uncovered evidence indicating arson but declined to say how they thought the fire was set.
