CPG International Buys Clearprint Paper Co.
CPG International said it purchased, for an undisclosed amount of cash, an Emeryville-based supplier of drafting paper. Officials of CPG, a privately held, Irvine-based firm, declined to disclose how much was paid for Clearprint Paper Co. Inc, which will become a division of CPG’s Plan Hold Corp. subsidiary. CPG was formed by an investor group to be the holding company for Chartpak/Pickett Industries, Plan Hold and M. Grumbacher, which were purchased last June from Times Mirror Co. for $55 million.
