CARSON CITY — Gov. Richard H. Bryan, a popular Democrat, won easy reelection to a second, four-year term over outgoing state Treasurer Patty Cafferata.
Bryan had a 71% to 27% lead over his GOP opponent.
Rep. Harry Reid, a Democrat, and former Rep. Jim Santini, an ex-Democrat, were in a tight race for the Senate seat being vacated by a powerful Republican, Sen. Paul Laxalt.
