Two people were critically injured Monday morning when their motorcycle smashed into a pickup truck and they were thrown to the pavement, a spokeswoman for the Police Department said.
The driver and passenger were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange suffering massive head and internal injuries. Both were in critical condition Monday.
The motorcycle driver was identified as Robert Crawford, but his age and place of residence were not known. The passenger was Amber Haynes, 16, of Huntington Beach, the police spokeswoman said.
They were traveling south through the intersection of Magnolia Street and Cerritos Avenue when they hit the westbound pickup truck broadside. The driver of the truck was unhurt.
No charges were filed, and police were investigating which driver had the green light.
